IBU Launches BLIss System

IBU Launches BLIss System

Within the last 24 months, the International Business Unit (IBU) has been diligently working to improve the ease of doing business with our organization, for the benefit of our clients.

It began, with the introduction of the Economic Substance System (ESS) which allows our Service Providers and the entities who are required to file substance declarations, (but are not legally required to have a Service Provider), to be able to file their declarations electronically.

Whilst it is true that our new portal significantly improves efficiency, we wanted in addition, to have all our processes done digitally from end to end, ensuring that, from application to the granting of permits and/or licences would be a smooth transition.

Therefore, today we are pleased to announce the launch of our BLISS system which stands for Business Licensing Integrated Security System.

Going forward, our service providers are now able to interact with us at any time. On any day of the week, our service providers are able to file their applications with us, whether it is that they are applying for a Foreign Currency Permit, a permit under the Trust Miscellaneous Provisions Act, a licence under the Private Trust Act or simply renewing their own Corporate and Trust Service Provider Licence, they are all processed, signed and released electronically.

Within our new portal, service providers will be able to track the progress of their documents, receive communication from within the IBU, provide any additional requested information or make any necessary corrections required.

Once the document(s) are completed and signed, the applicant will be able to download their certificate and/or permit which will have a secure QR code.

The service provider will in turn be able to present or email that permit to any person with whom they are doing business who requires sight of the permit or licence. This person will then be able to scan the QR code and verify the licence’s authenticity.

Access the portal using the link below, you’ll need a username and password.
